There is a lot of information included in the HDK help files, but its hard to tell what's required to get broken stuff working, there is also a lot of stuff in there that is not required unless you want to make your own spaces. I literally got everything seen in the video working just by moving files and folders around and editing some paths here and there to match file locations. Basically the main reason we could not get it to boot on CEX CFW is down to the files not being in the correct locations. NOTE: I have not used the Home Development Kit (HDK) at all for any of this, its not required here. Once that pkg is installed, it is easy update the installed folder with smaller patch packages from then on, the hard bit was getting the 280,000 files onto the system which this 20GB package solves. I have a 20GB package with 220+ scenes added that I can release as a base for others to add to and work on, play with etc, it's definitely not going to be for everyone, it takes me 20 minutes to FTP the package to dev_hdd0, and then another 160 minutes to install it. Now I know there are many people who know much more than me about how Home works, but they are not sharing so we will have to figure it out ourselves, I am only one person too, so it will be slow going but my hope is that once I start posting some of the basics, some other modders will get involved too. I think for preservation purposes it would be great if we had everything working from one pkg TOTALLY OFFLINE, with no special skills needed to install or run, and with ALL resources included in the download so there is no need to rely on any online services. I would prefer to see it opened up so lots of people can collaborate. Hopefully this can act like a dumbed down version and include some info not found in the HDK docs too. I know we have the HDK, but that can be a bit daunting as its a bit like asking someone to look in the SDK documentation when they want to build a pkg. I could be wrong but from what I gather the Destination Home team are not documenting anything publicly. I am starting this thread to document some of the basics as I learn them, As there seems to be almost no information about how to fix broken Home Scenes/Spaces.

We have not used the “Zinc” paint in the family room, yet. The finished walls matched the “Enamelware” paint chip as closely as expected (there is always a slight difference when comparing a paint chip to a painted wall). Had you put the Glidden paint in a Martha Stewart can, I am not sure if we would have been able to tell the difference. We redid our guest bathroom in Martha Stewart’s “Enamelware” mixed in Glidden paint with a satin finish. I am happy to report, we were impressed with the quality and coverage of the Glidden paint. Paint is not an area of life where we care to experiment. We are pretty adaptable to change, but when we find a paint brand we like, we try to stick with it. We were worried about the paint quality, coverage, and color matching. We have never used Glidden paint, and with no option for getting the matching Martha Stewart paint, we had no other choice. The Home Depot lady recommended mixing the Martha Stewart color into Glidden paint. This was the current state of our living room, without a drop of Martha Stewart paint to spare: Of course we were one gallon shy of finishing the two-story living room that has taken us over a year to complete. I immediately felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. When my hubby went to the counter to have the paints mixed up, they broke the news to us. We found the perfect “Enamelware” blue for the guest bathroom and we grabbed the swatch for “Zinc”, which we are using in the family room. This weekend we went to find paint for the guest bathroom and grab another gallon to finish off our two-story living room. Since the Martha Stewart paint chips are still in Home Depot, which we walk by every time we go in the store, we never gave it a second thought. Just a week prior, the New York Post reported Home Depot was dumping the Martha Stewart paint base. Here is a post on Martha’s blog in early January, where she kind of ignores the discontinuation of her paint, but promotes her color palette being mixed in the Glidden paints at Home Depot. So, it had been several months since we actually purchased paint. We will stock up on a couple paint colors for various projects all at once. You might think we have been living under a rock, but we actually just tend to buy lots of paint infrequently. We were shocked to learn Home Depot no longer carries Martha Stewart Living paint. For OmniOutliner standard users, the included HTML exporter does not support transparency to provide the widest compatibility. All colors will instead be exported as fully opaque. So for those that use transparent colors and want to share your files with IE users, you can download the OmniOutliner Exports Plugin pack which now has a version of the DHTML exporter that doesn't support transparency. OmniWeb, Safari, and Firefox can handle this. Please note that the HTML (Dynamic) exports will not render transparent colors in Internet Explorer and other browsers that don't support the rgba CSS attribute. Some of the more notable changes are color transparency support in DHTML/QuickLook, gutter color support, adjusting widths when row labels are used to keep correct indentation, and tweaks to remove background color artifacts. Many funeral attendees can identify with this song. “(Oh Baby Mine) I Get So Lonely” from Sing the Classics Even though death may separate you from each other, your heart can still resonate with the lyrics, Though this song is meant for weddings, it would be a fitting tribute to play at the funeral of your spouse. The singer reminisces about the life they shared and repeats the central message, “I’m sure missing you.” This is a perfect song for any spouse or significant other who is mourning the loss of their “Elizabeth.” 3. O come to the Savior, He patiently waits, To save by His power divine Come, anchor your soul in the Haven of Rest, And say, My beloved is mine. The Statler Brothers are well known in the old-timey Christian and country music scenes for playing gospel and classic country tunes. How precious the tho't that we all may recline, Like John the beloved and blessed, On Jesus' strong arm, where no tempest can harm, Secure in the Haven of Rest. The song of my soul, since the Lord made me whole, Has been the old story so blessed, Of Jesus, who'll save whosoever will have, A home in the Haven of Rest. I yielded myself to His tender embrace, And faith taking hold of the Word, My fetters fell off, and I anchored my soul The Haven of Rest is my Lord. I've anchored my soul in the Haven of rest, I'll sail the wide seas no more The tempest may sweep o'er the wild stormy deep In Jesus I'm safe evermore. My soul in sad exile was out on life's sea, So burdened with sin and distressed, Till I heard a sweet voice saying, Make me your choice And I entered the Haven of Rest. The best-known method of commerce at the time was called the Triangular Trading System. A slave purchased on the African coast for the equivalent of 14 English pounds in bartered goods could sell for 45 pounds in the American market. The continent-changing 16th Century began with Europeans transporting African slaves to the Americas for profit. They even sailed around the Cape of Good Hope. By 1445 they reached the Cape Verde Islands and the coast of Senegal, and the mouth of the River Congo in 1482. The Arabs' reach extended to Zanzibar, which was used as a base for voyages between the Middle East and India.Īs other organized kingdoms were formed in central and southern Africa, the Portuguese began to explore the western coast of Africa. Mogadishu, the now largest city in Somalia, was settled by Arabs who traveled and traded on the east coast of Africa. And like most kingdoms before them on any continent, they were invaded and in the end destroyed. The empire grew rich from the trans-Saharan trade in gold and salt, but then lost its power in the 11th century.Īdditional kingdoms developed across the continent, including those in Benin and Mali. Both became rich by trading in gold, horse salt, and of course, slaves. One of the first kingdoms was Ghana, located in what is now southeastern Mauritania and western Mali. Soon kingdoms emerged in Africa they traded with the Arabs using gold plus a valuable commodity - slaves. The Arabs were Muslims, and most of North Africa converted to Islam Ethiopia was the exception. In 698-700 they invaded Tunis and Carthage and soon controlled all of coastal North Africa. The then-growing Roman Empire continued to expand its influence, and in 30 BC Egypt became a province of Rome Morocco the same in 42 AD.īefore the Middle Ages began, the Roman Empire collapsed and the Arabs quickly took their place on the continent. Meanwhile, the Egyptians continued to spread their culture across Northern Africa, and kingdoms were created in Ethiopia and Sudan. In 814 BC, they founded the city of Carthage in what is now Tunisia in north Africa only to be destroyed by the Romans in 146 BC. The Phoenicians were an enterprising maritime trading culture from Lebanon who spread across the Mediterranean from 1550 BC to 300 BC. In short, the Egyptians left a lasting legacy upon the world.Īround 600 BC the use of metal tools spread across small population bases and farming groups in North Africa, and their use gradually spread south into what is now called South Africa. They also pioneered the building of massive pyramids and temples.Įgyptians also developed mathematics, an innovative system of medicine, irrigation and agricultural production techniques, writing and the first ships. In 3200 BC the Egyptian culture emerged along the lower reaches of the Nile River it was among the earliest civilizations and their tools and weapons were made of bronze. During that time the Sahara Desert was a fertile area. By 5000 BC farming was somewhat common in the northern areas of Africa, as people were growing crops and herding livestock. One of the most important developments of primitive man was the creation of stone tools. There is also clear evidence that they had control of fire, lived in caves, as well as open-air structures of stone and vegetation. The Neanderthals arose some 200,000 years ago and inhabited regions in northern Africa and across parts of southern Europe. They became aggressive hunters, lived in caves and used fire and their ability to create stone tools just to survive.
