No download link just yet, if anyone is interested in testing or helping out with it, let me know. There is a lot of information included in the HDK help files, but its hard to tell what's required to get broken stuff working, there is also a lot of stuff in there that is not required unless you want to make your own spaces. I literally got everything seen in the video working just by moving files and folders around and editing some paths here and there to match file locations. Basically the main reason we could not get it to boot on CEX CFW is down to the files not being in the correct locations. NOTE: I have not used the Home Development Kit (HDK) at all for any of this, its not required here. Once that pkg is installed, it is easy update the installed folder with smaller patch packages from then on, the hard bit was getting the 280,000 files onto the system which this 20GB package solves. I have a 20GB package with 220+ scenes added that I can release as a base for others to add to and work on, play with etc, it's definitely not going to be for everyone, it takes me 20 minutes to FTP the package to dev_hdd0, and then another 160 minutes to install it. Now I know there are many people who know much more than me about how Home works, but they are not sharing so we will have to figure it out ourselves, I am only one person too, so it will be slow going but my hope is that once I start posting some of the basics, some other modders will get involved too. I think for preservation purposes it would be great if we had everything working from one pkg TOTALLY OFFLINE, with no special skills needed to install or run, and with ALL resources included in the download so there is no need to rely on any online services. I would prefer to see it opened up so lots of people can collaborate. Hopefully this can act like a dumbed down version and include some info not found in the HDK docs too. I know we have the HDK, but that can be a bit daunting as its a bit like asking someone to look in the SDK documentation when they want to build a pkg. I could be wrong but from what I gather the Destination Home team are not documenting anything publicly. I am starting this thread to document some of the basics as I learn them, As there seems to be almost no information about how to fix broken Home Scenes/Spaces.
